Starting about a week ago, Blazer on my Treo650 won't probably display websites whose URLs ends in .php.

    For example: http://www.webbyawards.com/index.php

When I put that URL into Blazer it comes up with the "Download" dialog and prompts if I want to download the web to "Save to:" Web or Card

Of course I should never get the prompt in the first place, but if I choose "Web" then it downloads the file and saves it (in my main memory I think) and then opens and displays the file "locally".

This happens on any server with any URL that ends in .php. I have verified that the mime-type sent by the servers is properly, text/html.

How can I fix this problem?

Happened to me too. I was really busy and didnt have time to mess with it (using m.yp.com and I was lost) so I hard reset and restored the prior nights backup. That fixed it. I know this is not helpful to you. Something got hosed in some Blazer configuration file. Did you try a soft reset?

Did you do a hard reset and use Blazer clean, or did you restore a backup and then use Blazer? It should work clean, but whatever caused the problem was backed up and restored if you did a restore.

If read my original email you'll note two things:

    1. I checked the mime type from my PC and it is fine
    2. It happens on every ".php" page on every single server on the whole internet

It is clearly some blazer problem.

    Chill out super dweebs.

If you'll notice, I pulled the page up on Blazer so it's not exclusively a server issue.

Try clearing the cache on blazer.

No it does not. My screwed up Blazer on my Treo650 offers to save the file. I'm happy that yours work properly. Do you have any suggestion on how to fix my Blazer?

For the third time, it is not a server problem. Before posting my original message I did do some troubleshooting myself.

In fact, me being a Linux guy, and before I noticed that this was happening on *every* single URL endinging in .php, I checked mime types on the websites that I first noticed the problem.

I used the following command to do the check:

    $ lynx -head URL

When all else fails ... hard reset? (followed by a laborious re-install of all 3rd party applications?)

Blazer clean means use it right after a hard reset BEFORE you hotsync anything. That allows you to use the default config and prevents any corrupt files or conflicting apps from causing a problem. If it works clean, then you know its not related to the default software load.

This php thing happened to me too. It was Blazer, not the server. I hard reset, restored from a previous day's backup, and it worked fine again. It is most likely some file that got corrupted in the Treo.

    Sorry about that

Maybe blazer has a problem with File associations. "i.e. .php file not registered with Blazer" Erase all the Blazer preferences using a program called Pref Editor

not sure how come he is the only one facing this issue cause I've has the same happen to me many times... but mine goes away after a couple of retries, sometimes a disconnect and reconnect fixes it for me too

my work mail server runs red hat and I have this evry so often (btw I graduated from the 600 3 weeks ago never jad this prob there)

This started happening to me recently, too, and it's incredibly annoying. It doesn't seem to be intermittent once it starts. Has anyone tried ClarenceCM3's suggestion of removing Blazer prefs? I'd rather not do it if it's known not to be helpful.
