I've been looking all over for a case that would provide general all-over protection, and a clear, hard "screen" protector. I was hesitant based on TC's review, but I ordered any way and *love* it.

The plastic does not get in the way, the skin 'buttons' (over the 5-way, etc) work fine, and I have easy access to everything I need (note, this does *not* include access to the IR port or the SD card port... you'd have to cut those out yourself).

For anyone who carries their Treo in their pocket, this is the ultimate case.

well, I feel like I'm reponding to an advertisement, but....

the zCover doesn't have the one thing I feel necessary for a 'pocket' case, a hard screen cover. The Speck has the nifty flip up cover. Well, and I didn't really want my keyboard covered. But other thatn that, the zcover looks pretty cool.

well i ordered both lets see

I'm pondering this one. Does anyone who has it, answer, how does the keyboard work with it on?
  6.    #6
assuming you're referring to the Speck... the keyboard is completely open (no cover). There is a slight 'weird' feel when pressing the top keys due to the edge of the cover, but it doesn't get in the way at all.

Does anyone here have the zCover? If so, please post a review...google couldn't find one.
It looks like it may be low profile enough to still fin in my e/b leather pouch...just what I'm looking for...if it is any good that is.
    zCover users: please post!

How do you like the Speck? Could you please post some pictures of that screen protector thing? How well does that work?

I will try to post pics later. Basically, the screen protector thing is nice if you want to put your treo in a bag, in your pocket, to protect it from other things in the bag/pocket. I have done some modification of the Speck so I have access to my SD card.
I am interested in the zcover case because I like the idea of the camera being protected as well. As you can see in my sig, I already have the Vaja T65 and T66, both very good cases, but again, the camera area is exposed and can be damaged if other things in your bag happen to be squeezed against the lens.
Ah, the quest for the perfect case.....

Would the Speck still work in conjunction w/ a pouch like this one? (I don't care for holsters.)

I used my old Treo 600 in the Vaja case so you can see the Vaja with a phone. The T66 actually fits the Treo 600 nicely.

I don't have the case you mentioned above. But, this generic case (see link below) fits the Treo in a skin case or a Speck case.

Thanx for the info...2 more questions....
Does it add any significant weight/size to the Treo?
Is the finish soft and rubbery or hard?

I've tried a couple of other skin cases. I think they're difficult to get in/out of the pocket because they are "tacky." Are the Speck and zcover slick?

    regarding the Speck case....

The skin is maybe an eighth of an inch think, so imagine that all around your Treo. It's definitely not as sleek as it is 'naked', but it's not bad. Weight is minimal.

The finish is soft and rubbery, which leads in to...

The Speck *is* kinda "tacky". Enough that it'll stay put if ya put it on a desk or something, But not so much that it's been an issue for my pocket.

One other note to add for prosepctive buyers. I have the black version, which is cool and all, but it is completely opaque. Get the clear version if you actually want to be able to see the nav button symbols (the case has molded buttons so you still can feel for them).

The Speck case is "tacky" but doesn't seem to pick up lint as much compared to the Boxwave skin case.

    This is my review:

I brought the blue one. If you have the sprint version 650, its bad as. The colors goes well together. I wanted the clear one but as you see "treocental" didn't had one in stock but I'm glad i got this one. I wouldn't trade it for jack, oh yeah and don't for get to download the blue gel skin dial pad to go with it. The "Speck" to me is to me, is the way to go.

This case rocks dude, just got it yesterday and think its the best case I've used so far. I had the open keyboard hardcase from innopocket "if your not careful the screen will break, As a matter of fact, i had two. "sorry guys (innopocket) had to let my treo fellow friends know , the convertec pouch case is cool no problems but don't get me wrong but if you drop it with the treo in it, prepare for a few deep stratches on the antenna and the bottom end. I took it back to sprint to get another one, ha, ha, ha! I told them it dint work, and no questions as, lucky dog me and they replaced it. I cant stand straches you know

To me its not tacky, its actually sturdy. It holds right in the palm of your hands, and as far as the screen protector, yes it has a removal screen protector, you can chose to keep or remove the screen, personally keep it on, you want able to tell its there being that its slim lined with the case. As far as the SD slot, i actually love that its not open because i have a 1g SD card "don't want to lose that" before that i had a piece of tape to hold it secure, because i lost a128 and i said never again.

As far as the IR port.....hum thats a problem sometimes because yes you will have to take it off but who cares this things rocks, but wait there was one thing that bothered me a little, your gonna have to get use to the 5-way because its a little tricky at first being that your use to using it with out a cover over it. its kinda hard to use at first but you'll get use to it after while.

On a scale from one to 10, I'll give it a 8.89 because of the IR red, and the 5-way other than that, dude THIS THING IS SOLID.

FOR THOSE WHO WANT WANT TO GET IT NOW FOR THEIR 600 WHO ARE PLANING TO GET A 650, YES IT FITS BUT I WARN YOU THE CUTS ARE DIFFERENT BUT IT ACTUALLY FITS,

I tried it on my fiance's 600, yep she has a "speck case also" soon to get that 650, you know i can't let her go out like that, she has to be cool too!!!

    Thanks guys!
