Based on the bandwidth, my Sprint Treo 650 should be about twice as fast as a 56K modem. But it's much much much slower. Webpages that load in a few seconds on a dial up can take a minute or more on the Treo? Why is this? Is it because of the high latency. By the way I have images on with the dial up computer and images off with the Treo.

Could be... as well as overall signal strength, network traffic, etc.

It could be related to the processor speed on the Treo 650 and the complexity of the site, number of tables, sub-tables, etc. Search the forums for something called PXAClocker and try running Blazer at 429Mhz, you should notice a huge increase in rendering speed. Hope this helped.
