    Hi

I have a problem for sync PalmDesktop with Microsoft Outlook, especially is E-Maill Address. Usually I send E-Maill using Outlook database but always cannot use correct information within PalmDesktop.

    Thanks,

Sounds like you want to install the Outlook conduits. If you re-run the setup CD, you should be given an option to change them from the Palm Desktop.

He wants to sync to Outlook AND Palm Desktop on the same PC.

    How do we do that?

The install CD lets you pick one or the other ....

You can also use Intellsynch to mix the conduits, but that product is also expensive

    Just use SwitchSync:

At work, I want to sync Outlook Calendar and Palm Desktop for everything else. At home, I want Palm Desktop for everything including Calendar. SwitchSync does this, but that seemed like overkill to me. I got this to work for free by checking out what Palm's OutlookSwitcher utility does. This is what comes on the Treo 650 install CD.

You can switch any conduit b/w Outlook or Palm by editing your Windows registry (regedit - usual warnings apply when messing with this).

    1) Find the conduit entry that you want to change:

    My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Pilot Desktop\Application<number>

Look through the Application<number> to find the one with the "Name" field set to the conduit you want to change. For me, Calendar was Application7.

    2) Change the "Conduit" field. Here are the relavent choices:

    SgCalendarCn.dll
    ocpCalendarCn.dll
    SgMemosCn.dll
    ocpNotesCn.dll
    SgTasksCn.dll
    ocpTasksCn.dll
    SgContactsCn.dll
    ocpContactsCn.dll

Sg => sync to Palm Desktop
    ocp => sync to Outlook

    3) Optionally, change the ""Name" field to indicate which method you are using - this field shows up in the HotSync Manager's configuration screen.

You could easily create .reg files which would switch between Outlook and Palm Desktop if you so desire.

    Hope this helps!
