    Hello,

TomTom Mobile 5 is compatible with the Treo 650. It's listed under compatible phones (see attachment)

My understanding is that Mobile 5 is not a US product (nor is it intended for release in the US), it's strictly a product for Europe. In addition, it does not appear to be compatible with Treo 650: See http://www.tomtom.com/products/compa...=69&Language=1

It is designed for use on Windows Mobile (SPV/QTEK/Motorola) and Symbian based phones (Nokia 6600). Navigator 5, however, is designed for use with the Palm OS and Pocket PCs.

    Hello,

if you open: http://www.tomtom.com/products/product.php?ID=69 and then follow the link: "See how it works" a window pops up,
and there goto "Features"->"Phone compatibility" you will find the Treo 650 listed.

    Regards

TomTom made a mistake on that particular page. TomTom Mobile was not designed to work with the Palm OS. It was designed for certain Windows Mobile and Symbian phones.

TomTom Navigator 5 and Mobile 5 are different products. Navigator 5 is not out in the UK or the US.

TOMTOM seems to have erased any mention of Palm products. There's a T3 in one of the little pics but all other mentions are gone. Mobile 5 used to list all the newer palms as compatible. What's up?

Moble 5 is not designed for Palm OS, it is designed for Windows Mobile and Symbian phones. It other words, Mobile 5 does not run on the Palm operating system. I don't recall TomTom ever indicating that Mobile 5 would be compatible with the newer Palms, except for a mistaken reference to the Treo 650. Navigator 5, however, is designed for Palm OS, including the treo 650 and other Palms.

    This looks groovy!

For the car, I could see you putting TomTom mobile in the glove compartment (out of direct sunlight). When walking however, carrying an extra widget kind of defeats the purpose of an all-in one smartphone that is the T650! That said, wondering if this thing is small enough to fit in a shirt or pocket, else get a beltclip case for it!

After watching the Flash Demo, I saw that one has to plug in a SDcard to make TomTom mobile work. If that is the case, I sure hope those (SD) files can be copied on to a larger SD card, or even better, the T650's RAM (or custom ROM if doing a Shadowmite thing.)
