I'm looking for a utility that will allow me to view local street maps and mark locations. Zooming and scrolling is a must. Ideally, it would also tell me the fastest way to get from point A to point B. I'd prefer that it not be internet based, as that tends to be slow because of the image downloading. However, if there's a good website for this that's small-screen friendly, I'd be happy to know about it as well. If there's not a good program for this, perhaps there's a good image viewer that I could use to zoom and scroll a large map image file?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I use Mapquest and www.Google.com/lochp in Blazer. Directory Assistant gives you directions via mapquest.

handmark express has a mapping/directions component. If you're a sprint customer and have a monthly vision credit (for downloads, ringers, etc) you can use that credit against the subscription cost (6.99/mo). Also news, weather, sports, movies, 411.

DA has been having some problems recently. Try again later if you get error messages.

See Local Google Maps for more discussion at:

DA problem is discussed in UTILITIES section I believe. Keep checking Rick Whitt's site for new S/W version.
