I was a Ringo user back on my Treo 270. It worked fine until I upgraded to a newer version. That's when my 270 started resetting on receiving a call. I emailed support many times and never got a response. I also emailed Sales and asked for a refund and also never got a response.

I switched to a different ring program. Too bad for me that it's not compatible with Treo 600s which is what I use now.

I have not received a response yet either. My brother (who works for Wells Fargo pretty high up) said you should do a charge back saying it was not as advertised, they'll respond to you pretty quick then.

Mine is back to not working. I'm going to do another hard reset and add things back on one by one and find out where it woes out.

    Nevermind.

I just did a hard reset. the first thing I put on again was Ringo, and even by itself it gives the short burst of static/music which is a no-go. I might have to see about that charge back as well if they won't answer...

Has anyone tried the new CallShield beta for the T650?
    V > Vx > m505 > m515 > T/T > T3 > TC > 650 > 680

So when you install one of these apps, do you now have 3 places where you setup custom ringtones? Can any of these expensive apps just give me the functionality of mp3's ringtones without another icon cluttering up the phone?

You guys might also want to check out TreoGuard. The new version does ringers as well and has been rock solid so far. Much better than mRing, Ringo, Lightwav and Phone Technician. I've tried them all and TreoGuard works the best for me.

TreoGuard only allow one ringer song, not one for each person in your contact list like some of the other apps do.

I'm trying out Ringo Pro (which seems good so far), but my side buttons will not silence the ringer on an incoming call. Anyone experience this problem? I'm using a Sprint 600.

But TreoGuard actually works, unlike every other program mentioned in this thread. There doesn't seem to be any program that gives us all of the features that we're looking for and is also stable. Sure looks like there's a big market if a developer wanted to take the time to do it right.

mring works fine for me, no problems...been using for a month now

I'm trying the newest mRing right now. Ringo was messing up my incoming calls. It would put an (H) next to any incoming call that wasn't in my contacts list. Removing Ringo fixed that problem.

The latest version of mRing no longer relies on Pocket Tunes to be installed. It has the ability to play .mp3s by itself. It's working great for me.

Has anyone experienced the side button no longer muteing incoming calls when using Mring?

What's the easiest way to get a mp3 song into the phone's sound pref. so that you don't need to go through pTunes?

mRing v2.7 released .... has woes for me -- doesn't need pTunes now though ...

um.... anyone have a backup copy of mRing v2.6a? This new version is a piece of junk, and doesn't work at all. v2.6a worked great. I don't understand how programmers can take a good app that's working great, and then hose it.

naturally, I didn't make a backup of v2.6a (bangs head on wall). Ringo still doesn't work and no reply from them either. Worst $30 I ever threw away.

Yes! For that reason alone I uninstalled mRing.
