I've made an extensive search here on the forum and cannot find anything about whether or not one can remove an installed ringtone; e.g., a midi tone. I've only added one midi tone to my Treo and the more I hear it, the less I like it. Does anyone know if I can remove it and if so how?

I looked in my backup folder and only see four tone pdb files as follows:
    System_Ring_Tones.pdb
    System_MIDI_Sounds.pdb
    ToneMidifile.pdb
    MIDI_Ring_Tones.pdb

The only two with recent dates are the last two above.

Unless there is some tool within the Treo (can't find one) or a 3rd party app for this purpose I guess one needs a way to modify a pdb file... assuming I'm on the right track here.

When I want to delete a ringtone I just:

Go to "Sounds" app in launcher
    Select "Tones"
    Select "Manage"
    Highlight the ringtone
    Select "Details"
    Select "Delete"

Thanks a mil. I now know how I missed that since I use zLauncher and have that app hidden. Feeling a little

Again, I appreciate the quick help.

That screen's actually available in two more places:
    1. From the Phone app, menu->Options->Sound Preferences (Phone/Tones)
    2. From the Preferences app, Sounds & Alerts (Phone/Tones)

Is Atlanta incredibly boring today? Why are all of us, from Atlanta, here on TC?

You Flip, are obviously bored because I'm not there right now. As to the others...

What are you doing here? I thought you were going to sleep...

Don't you have other things to tend to?

I'm going to bed shortly, after I kill a few kittens.

I was doing some perusing of my Treo after finding the sounds app and also discovered the other access points. Thanks

    An Atlanta gang! woo hoo!!

Unfortunately, I'm in LaLa land for the next couple of weeks. I just dream of green landscapes while here.
