How do people add and show extension #'s for people who have the same business phone # with different extensions. Using the default contact list with the 650, if an extention # is entered on the phone # line, the formating is all messed up.

I'd like to be able to see the ext. number from the main screen without having to click on and open the contact. That way I can scroll down to their work # and dial, while still having been reminded of their extension #. The only way that I can see, is to enter the ext # in the "other" field. That way it will show up along with the Home, Office & Mobile numbers as a reminder.

    Any other idea's ?

    Thanks,

    David...

I have been frustrated by the lack of extension support as well. I have been using the same "other" designation that you use.

If the extension is entered in response to an automated prompt, the easiest solution is to set up a speed dial entry for that contact.
    V > Vx > m505 > m515 > T/T > T3 > TC > 650 > 680

I have also found this a deficiency since my earliest Palm days of 1998. It's amazing how such a simple issue like this has propogated over the years.

I don't use the other field because after syncing, the order of contacts isn't always kept. Instead I have accepted that I need to view the entire contact info. I use a custom field I have named "Ext."
