Does anyone have any experience with this skin case? It looks very nice and I'm going to be getting one to replace my Krusell. I've no experiences with these silicone cases, but I can post a review once I get it if no one else has used one before.

Not exactly. The one on ebay seems to be a different one from the JAVOskin. It appears to be marketed by Global Source, but they don't seem to have the same product on their web page. Perhaps a pre-production model to sell on ebay before full release?

I'm just checking with the group here to see if this is a new product or something that someone has been using already. Didn't find any posts about it, so I'm just speculating that it is new.

I got the case yesterday. This is my first skin case, so I couldn't compare to any others. It is thinner than I expected from reading reviews of the other translucent skin cases. It feels almost like carrying a naked treo! It's fantastic! Now I wonder if the others are thicker or not. Now I won't need my Krussell case which I thought was pretty thin already.

The texture is smooth but not at all tacky. The front is just a little smoother than the back. No problems taking it out of thight jean pockets. It is definitely solid black, not smokey like the pics I've seen of some other cases. The keypad is exposed. I'm trying to get used to not typing through a plastic cover. The cover over the 5-way nav and buttons really enhance the feel of those buttons. I was worried about that but not any more.

Overall this is a fantastic case! Now I need to find some belt case that could hold the Treo with this skin.

I received the new Nutshell for skins yesterday. It seems to work just fine with a skin. They made it slightly larger than their previous skin. I wrote more about it in the thread about Nutshell case and skins.

    Thanks. I'll check it out.

I bought one of the clear skin cases from TC when I placed my T650 order with Palmone, o those many months ago. It's been great, but starting to show some wear and the pictures of this black skin look really nice...so I just ordered one.

BTW, I'm using Seidio's newly redesigned pouch case for the skinned T650; very satisfactory.

Does anyone know if there are horizontal belt cases that can accomodate the skinned T650?

A T-mobile Sidekick II case and a Krusell Horizontic S-Wide case will both fit a skinned Treo. The Krusell will require a few days of stretching for a good fit. The Sidekick II case fits right out of the box.

My black silicone case arrived yesterday. I like it. It's not sticky to the touch at all...in fact, it's almost slippery, in a powdery-feeling sort of way; I suspect this will adjust with time. The case's slippery-ness and its smaller profile make inserting and removing the T650 from my Seidio case a much easier task than with the S650.

...and now my Treo looks like a "bat-phone".

    LOL! Bat-phone it is!

When I have mine next to my old IBM thinkpad with the black rubbery surface, they feel like long lost brothers. What a perfect match..

So far the powdery feeling has faded. It is probably because of the dust or lint that has collected on the skin from my pant pockets. It is not as much as I thought it would be. Just a quick wipe with the finger and it is like brand new again.

where did you get your black skin case? and is the so called midnight black or smoke? i've got a thinkpad and ipaq 4700 and the magnesium casings on each work so well... i'd love to do the same with my treo.

It's solid black. Get it on eBay from GlobalSource PDA.

i ordered that solid black silicone case per bill Gamble's recommendations and i'm pretty satisfied... it's got the raised forms of the buttons and almost makes the 5-way easier to use... don't know why they bundled a neck strap cause i can't find any place to safely attach it to the phone/skin... i got http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=5775521503 to attach it to my belt, i'm just hoping the closure on that case is magnetic...

That looks like the same case that I purchased from my local T-Mobile store. My case has a conventional snap, not a magnetic one. I've had no problems with the snap design.

I just ordered one yesterday. I was wondering how do you fit the phone into that case?

Edit: I was talking about the Black Silicone case.

Push the bottom of the phone through the case's screen cut-out; after the bottom is seated and the keyboard shows through the keyboard cut-out, pull the top of the case up from the back of the phone, and over the top.
