When making a phone call I can hang up with the icon on screen or press the power/end button.
I can't work out how to disconnect after using blazer or versamail. The only way I seem to be able to disconnect is to turn the phone off then turn it back on to use it again?
    Am I missing something?

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Versamail has disconnect under the Options menu. The only way to disconnect Blazer without turning off the phone is to go into Preferences/Network.
Leaving the internet connection on but passive shouldn't hurt anything. The power usage should be minimal, and as long as there is no active data transfer, you can receive calls.

No, Blazer also has a 'Disconnect' command on the 'Menu' button.

Verasamail can be set to disconnect after a set period of time but AFAICS with Blazer you have to disconnect it manually.

If you have a specific location, or better yet, a screen cap of this Blazer "Disconnect command", post it please.

I'm afraid what I've already told you is all there is to it: Press the 'Menu' button, look at the dropdown that appears (headed 'Page') and the last item is 'Connect/Disconnect'.

In case there are different versions of Blazer, mine is 4.0

GSM models (or at least the unbranded ones, like mine) have the Disconnect menu selection in Blazer; the Sprint (and I assume Verizon) models do not.

To disconnect manually... press the Home button, then 'p' to jump to the apps beginning with p. Click Prefs, and in the list, Network. Your default connection will be displayed. Click the Disconnect button to drop the connection.

Keep in mind that GPRS auto-suspends with an incoming call. An active CDMA connection will bounce a call to voicemail.

That would explain it. Thanx Bill.

Your internet calls? If you're using a dialup isp, they should show the same as voice calls. If you are using gprs service, or whatever the service is that Sprint/Verizon offer...not sure. There may still be a working utility that tracks data usage.
