Does anyone know of an app that would provide a self-timer for the camera on the 650?

    Thanks,

you can use Live! to take a picture from 1 second to 10 second delay but only at 320x320 resolution. Live! lets you record video on the T650.

    Hi all,

Thanks for the replies. I did some more research and found out that the latest version of TeksPhotos 1.0.9 now supports the 650 and is available here: http://mytreo.net/downloads/details-229.html?TeksPhotos

I've tested it out and it works. BTW, it supports 640x480 resolutions too!

The TeksPhotos developer just sent me the following message and attached .prc today:

"...this version does have email and a scheduler, which is also still being tested, and also FTP which is not at all finished, but if you feel [brave it] sort of works (in fact I have someone using it as is)

This one should also support Treo650 and Zire 72 as well as Treo 600..

    Thanks for getting in contact.

    best wishes

    Jon

ps theres a PocketPC/Smartphone version lurking around here as well..."

So it automatically sends emails of the pics it takes, and will eventually be able to reliable FTP them as well -- I am still trying to find a practical use for this, but nonetheless think it's very cool.

    Just curious...

Do you have the developer's permission to post the test version in these public forums?

Great idea, but tell the developer that he's got some work to do on the email engine. When I try to send via Earthlink's smtpauth server I get this error:
503 AUTH command used when not advertised
    V > Vx > m505 > m515 > T/T > T3 > TC > 650 > 680

    Hi Folks,

We generally prefer to know who has beta's of our software, mainly so that if we identify a problem we can let them know, which if we dont know who is using it is a bit tricky :-), this is especially true at early beta release stage, when we can produce a number of revisions quite quickly as a result of beta tester feedback.

Anyway we do need some testers for TeksPhotos with email facility, so if you want to try it out then send an email to beta@ninelocks.com.

We are also interested in feature requests, we cant promise to put everything in there but we'll do what we can :-)

The FTP facility may be dropped, it depends on what is required by the users!,

FTP is always problematic as there are sooooo many variations of server that dont always behave in a consistent manner, which can make support "interesting"

There is a TeksPhotos for PocketPC as well and again we'd welcome testers for that as well.

    best wishes

    delph@ninelocks.com
