Does anyone know of an application that will keep the palm on and active while in the charging cradle? I used to use 'profiles' to do this, but I have had major issues with that app and I can't even get it to work at all anymore, and I was hoping someone might be able to recommend an alternative app that might be able to pull this off...any suggestions? Thanks!

    Must....be.....tolerant....

    Sorry, I tried, but...

Look at the menu bar above this thread. See the item labelled "Search"? Try it! This question has been asked and answered in at least four different threads in the last few weeks.

If this be impolite, so be it, but I'm really frustratrated by people who seem to think the rest of us exist only to save them the effort of doing any work themselves. I have no problem helping anyone who really needs it, but I don't think it's unreasonable to ask people to try to help themselves first.

If you did search, and couldn't find anything, then I apologise, but I find it hard to believe. I just tried two searches:

"cradle screen on" (without the quotes) found 2 threads within the first page of results

"cradle on" found 4 within the first page.

Hey meyerweb it would be a whole lot easier to just type the names of the programs instead of being an a**hole.

The problem with search on this site is that it doesn't take you to the most relevant post, only the thread. Any given that a lot of messages are useless ("Me too!", or "What's the link?", or "That rocks!"), it can take a lot of time to find the answer.

    Are you sure about that?

You might want to do some homework before you flame someone...the search function DOES allow to list results by POST vs THREAD. Also, starting new threads only adds MORE "clutter" to look through to find answers...just because you don't feel like searching doesn't make it ok to post repetitive questions. This is a community...try to respect others. It's simple.

    A search for "cradle on"

    look at third post....

Oh yeah, BTW feel free to flame be for being a "loser" because i know how to use a search engine...clearly that makes me a Star Wars dork?!?!?! Not sure of the relevance there....

It's kinda funny though...to see someone get defensive because their laziness/stupidity gets called out.

I'd take a Star Wars fanatic over a lazy punk who expects everyone else to do their work for them. You've been a TC member since Sep 2004...and you still haven't learned how to search?

#1 There's a lot of hostility brewing in your noggin, huh?

#2 Obviously, readers who are not sophisticated enough to search for an answer before posting are NOT going to be sophisticated enough to take advantage of the 'advanced' options in searching. Hense my comment makes perfect sense, assuming he is using the defaults.

#3 I am totally with you on avoiding new threads which only dilute the groups. Maybe non-tagged (or non-'bumped') discussions should be filtered out from searches.

#4 Nice to post a URL for a search that represents a cached result (did ya notice the 'searchid=' in the URL?!) which other users can't access.

Wow. I've done a zillion searches and always been irritated having to scroll through the thread to find what I'm looking for. (Even though a tad irritating, I still do searches before starting a new thread).

"Show results as threads". That's pretty cool.

Boy I feel stupid not seeing that before.

    #1 Not at all.

#2 There is a difference between being unsophisticated and being lazy. Assumptions get us all in trouble from time to time...

    #3 That's a pretty good idea...

#4 Oops, nobody's perfect.... hopefully my point still comes through

closing thread, once again a flamewar starts after a person doesnt do a search.

    PLEASE use the search feature.
and PLEASE do not react to non-searchers, alert the mods via the red triangle.

And most important DON'T flame/do personal attacks!
