Found this on msmobile, seems to be strongest indication yet that Treo 650 may actually run on Windows mobile. Buy.com have taken down the page since. I tried to find it in google cache but no luck. What do you think?

I think that if it resets and freezes now, Windows Mobile is bound to push some Treo 650 users over the edge and commit acts of violence...

I think they are confused. They talk about the MDA and a slideing keyboard but show a 650. A pdf of the page

The page is actually still up. Here is the link:

I think they are confused, though. The description doesn't make sense.

There is no indication whatsoever of a Treo running Windows Mobile on these pages.

The page clearly refers to the MDA handset third edition (MDA III) which is currently being offered in T-mobile Germany (as quoted) and which features hardware that is completely different than that of the Treo 650. I dont see how anyone in their right mind could be confused by this, let alone an entire website.

The only plausible insight that this page offers is the fact that T-Mobile WILL be offering the Treo 650 in the near future.

I agree. I think two listings got put together. Probably indicates that the 650 is coming from T-Mobile.

Yeah, some people can draw some really crazy conclusions. This was clearly a mistake on buy.com's part, and yes, I agree; it's pretty clear they're referring to two different products.

I agree, its just a combination of two product announcements: The Tmobile Treo 650 and the MDA.
