After finding out that PQAs are no longer supported for OS 5... am looking for a way to get the clients current zipcode like you could with PQA applications. Anyone know how to do this? Any chance the blazer browser includes the ZipCode of the Treo client?

Is there a way to determine which cellular tower(s) are within range? Thanks for your replies.

I don't believe this is possible, because Blazer is just acting more or less like a normal browser. The user agent string doesn't have that information in it, so I don't know where else it could be provided. I also don't remember having to enter my zipcode anywhere. How exactly did it work with a PQA? I think your only option would be to request the zipcode up front.

PQA applications have access to the zipcode of the cellular tower they are communicating with and sends it as a request header parameter. It is useful as a poor man's GPS.

Anyone know if OS 5 exposes the cellular tower meta data?
