After trying literally dozens of fitness applications on my treo 650 Ive given up on the search. Most seem too complicated, too large, and not very helpful. If anyone has had any good experience with a fitness application please post your thoughts. Any help would do.

I only need an app that can log weightlifting/cardio exercises, NOT one that has an extensive nutrition database or calorie counter

    Here are some necessities...
+ A calendar with a visual conception of which days I have worked out in the past (strength training and cardio) and which I plan to workout in the future
+ Ability to create specific exercises (if the database lacks it)
+ Ability to look up specific days and see # of exercises completed and their details (i.e. number of reps, sets, and weight)
+ Ability to track my weight each workout day and produce a chart

If anyone knows of an application that can offer these things please let me know! I have a personal trainer and therefore am more interested in the detailed logging of weightlifting routines than on the ability to pre-plan routines. Thanks in advance to all that contribute!

I have used Vivonic Fitness Planner for a number of years - does allow you to add exercise, keeps a 4, 8 or 12 week plan, has nutrition integration, charts progress, etc.

Where can I demo this product? I cant find it on handango.com or the palmone software website.

Edit: I saw an article on this program and it said that it was $239?? Let me remind you that I dont need an extensive nutritional database as I am assuming this application has. Also, the creators website is no longer available so Im assuming this product is not available any longer.

The BEST program for food, weight and excersize calleries burned is Balancelog by Healthetech. It doesn't have everything you listed, but I love it.

I tried to go to the company website and it no longer exists. Did a google search and was not able to find any links that would allow access to the program - must be out of business.....too bad, is a decent program...

By the way, the $239 was for the program and a PDA, stand alone the program was $49.99

Don't purchase BalanceLog. Although it is great software and I have used it for a year on my Tungsten, it will crash your Treo faster than you can say 1-2-3. HealtheTech acknowledges that it will not run on Treos (on their "purchase" page). I crashed two Treo's before I contacted HealtheTech to confirm compatibility. You can still run BalanceLog on a PC. Maybe they'll have a patch sometime this year and I can sync again. BalanceLog is great in tracking exercise frequency/duration/calories burned and for tracking meals.

you might also try The Athlete's Diary, from Stevens Creek Software. Been around for a while, and it's not 5-way enabled, but it does do a lot.

I use Athletix, it doesn't do the schedule in advance like you want, but I think it does everything else. I use it to track my weight and body fat, and my running.

    I use MySports training. http://www.mysporttraining.com/mstpalm.htm

I have the desktop version and the polar heartrate monitor add-on. The screen shots don't do the program justice.

I was going to get one of these, but I never take my Treo to the gym b/c I'm afraid I will break!!! It's just not safe for my Treo to go to the gym!

I use fitsync as well...it does everything you're looking for and more. Your personal trainer can monitor your progress and post workouts directly into your account (if you wish). Check it out www.fitsync.com
