Does 2day maintain (not destroy) certain items that are part of Outlook meetings?

How does it handle "Meeting Location", "Meeting Attendees", and "Meeting Organizer" information?

Does it display them correctly? Can I edit these in 2Day and have the changes synced to Outlook?

So far, here's what I found out:

    Palm One's Calendar:
Displays "Meeting Location" (in parenthesis in meeting title)
Displays and edits "Meeting Attendees" (in the With field)
Screws up "Meeting Organizer" - This may be the fault of PalmOne Outlook Conduit ...If I edit the entry in Calendar in any way, this information is lost when synced back to Outlook

    Datebk5:
Does not display "Meeting Location" (maintains the information, though)
Does not display "Meeting Attendees" (maintains the information, though)
Screws up "Meeting Organizer" - just like the Calendar application

    What about 2Day?

    Thanks.

    Jeff,

Any word on this? Are you displaying (or planning to) the Attendees and Meeting Organizer for the Outlook meetings?

    Hi,

Save me some time here - how do I sync my calendar on the Treo 650 with Outlook (so that I can gain access to examples of these attendee fields, etc) ?

I have my desktop synching with Palm Desktop right now...

And - can I do that (sync with Outlook) and NOT lose my current database ?

I too am syncing with Palm desktop at home. However, at work, we use Outlook and I sync my Calendar with it by installing PalmOne's Outlook conduit. All the Outlook data at work is on an Exchange server.

You'll need Appointments generated by a 3rd person (my boss), with many attendees, a meeting location etc etc. Will you get such items in a stand-alone version of Outlook on your PC? I don't know.

I posted screen shots of the Palm Calendar application in thread

    http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...ad.php?t=83452

I sent a file to CESD (Datebk5 developer) to help him fix a bug (to avoid corrupting these fields when meetings were edited in Datebk). I could send you that CalendarDB-Pdat.pdb file with details about the entry in it with these fields....

What e-mail address should I send this to?

It is displayed and used extensively by Outlook. It is not displayed by Calendar (or any other Palm PIM that I know of).

But, if you edit a meeting on the Treo using Calendar, and the sync to the desktop, the Organizer info is lost and you become the meeting initiator/organizer. That causes all sorts of havoc in the corporate environment.
