    just thought i'd let you all know about this email i received from mobilestore1, the seller of the treo 650 cradles on ebay. i still intend to wait 3 weeks for my cradle, yet i don't know exactly which "defect" this email refers to.

    Dear Customer,

    Ebay Item # XXXXXXXXXX - ORDER HELD

    Due to rising customer complaints regarding defects to the Treo 650 cradles, we have recalled all of the cradles that have already been shipped out, and are holding all current orders for these cradles. A rush order for new Treo 650 cradles without the defect has been placed, and we are expecting to receive this shipment in approximately 3 weeks.

    As a valued customer, we are prepared to offer you two options. We can either issue you an immediate full refund, or if you can wait the three weeks, we can ship you your cradle as soon as the new shipment of cradles arrives.

    Please e-mail us which option you prefer. We will hold your order until we hear from you. We appreciate your business, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

    the cradle I recieved was defective.....but after 3 emails I have not heard a word from them.

    Yes, I also got burnt too on the cradle !! I got the email before they shipped it so hopefully they will refund me the money like I asked. Instead I went got from this seller on ebay - I have bought from him before and was a great product (bluetooth headset)

    I too ordered the cheap cradles and then heard about the defects. I have been trying to cancel the order and have had no response from them whatsoever. I will give them until Monday and then dispute the charges. Hopefully they will get their act together.

    Add me to the list. I ordered and have received NO information about my order, the defective cradles, or a new ship date. My emails have gone unanswered.

    I'd stay away from these cradles & this eBay seller.

    I got a refund today with profuse apologies. Must just be taking them a while to get through all the refunds.

    Interesting...any word on the defects? I ordered two and they seem to work fine.

    i asked. they didn't answer. they must be real busy with the cradle problem.

    I received a cancel notice from paypal last night with an aplogy from mobile1. At least they did the right thing. I ordered the OEM model from Dan's.

    I also bought one but after my PayPal paid i got a email saying they are defective and they expect updated ones in a few weeks, i got my money back and went with the Treo OEM one but guess what? The OEM Palm cradles sync up once and they they stop, there is an issue with all of them not syncing up.... http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...ghlight=cradle

    I have 2 Palm cradles and they both work all the time - never a problem (GSM unlocked) .... so it's not an issue with "all of them." I got one from CompUSA a while ago with no markings and 1 from Provantage.com last week ($32) marked REV2.

    Anyone else notice that although there is this big delay on the ebay cradles, the seller is *still* selling them on eBay?? I'm still hoping to get my cradle, and I sent an email asking them what the deal was. However, if I don't hear back from them by tomorrow, I'll file an ebay complaint. Selling items they don't have is surely fraudulent.
