No doubt this issue has been discussed somewhere on this forum but I must be asking the wrong questions when I try a search.

I really don't want Realplayer, Quicktour, etc., etc.. They're a waste of space.

On my old, reliable, doesn't-keep-resetting-itself, T3 I could rid myself of these excrecencies using Brayder Technolgy's Jack Sprat. How can i do so on my GSM, Hong Kong-based, unlocked Treo650.

If you think that something has been discussed, then do a search. It's a very useful tool and it's in that green header bar.

Those apps make me mad too, but you can't get rid of them normaly. They are in the ROM (read only memory). The only ones you can delete are RAM based apps. However, some people use the ROM flash tool to get rid of them, but its very dangerous if you don't know what your doing, you can ruin the Treo.

Be glad your not a SPrint user, there are several more other those app that you can't delete, like Downlards, Buiness Connect and such.

What I use is a great app called Invisable, you can make the apps hidden. SO its about half as good as deleting them. They are still there taking up memeory, but it's ROM not RAM, but at least you CAN NOT SEE THE DARN THINGS ANYMORE!

The app is at Palmgear and there is a trial you can use to see if you like it. I even go one step further and app that I have a hotkey assigned to that I don't use often, like mLights I hide too. So that way my screen is not clutered and then I just use the hot key to access them. In the case of mLights. I assigned the "M" key. So if I hold the M key down from the phone app, it will launch mLights. If you have Butler, then it will work from any place.

    Hope this helps, Matt
