Thanks for the list. Links to .prc's would be helpful tp add.

I find the built-in "Calc" does a good job on conversions. Left < for 4 funcrion. Right > for various scientific modes. Enter #, hit inches, then hit units to convert to such as "ft". And it is free.

Tried looking (goggle) for "Voice Memo" (tried Palmone developer site, thought it might be a T5 app, so I downloaded T5 Palm Desktop (500+MB) but not in "Essential_Software" and "PostInstall" folder.)

Keyshade Hack would be nice too, I couldn't find this hack. When I watch movies with MMPlayer, the keyboard lights are too glaring to enjoy the movie.

    Thanks

after you save files to desktop, email them to your phone. open the attachment, then the phone ask to save them.

You should be able to move them to your SD card if you have a reader. Then you can move them from card to RAM.

    nice post
tell me about uninstall manager? is it better than filez?
  14. #14
uninstall manager tracks files that have been installed on the device so when you want to delete it everything that came with the app is deleted.. unlike deleting from the regular launcher because it leaves behind orphan files that are useless and tend to take up memory.... so it is a must have especially when trying out a lot of apps...

I just rediscovered Resco Explorer for use with the Treo 650. It is a File manager, zipper, viewer, launcher and backup in one product. While you can get all of the above functionality (although some what limited) with free apps - it is still a nice bundled package. It displays as "Explorer" in the Palm OS Application launcher.

The File manager is really nice. You can do tons of things, even associate files to applications.

The zipper works the way WinXP works in that it opens zip files as if it were a directory.

The viewer work fantastic as a picture viewer. Since you can view them no matter where they are, it is nice for pictures you don't want available to anyone that pics up your handheld. I could not seem to get .TXT files to open right.

The launcher is not its strongest feature, but it is nice to be able to launch a program from the directory. Even launch Office docs from it.

The backup portion is nice. You can password protect it. You can verify a backup too. It just needs a schedule feature and it could replace my regular app, CardBackup.

Although it does not fit my favorite word - FREE, Resco Explorer is worth a look, even at $14.95.
