I'm using my Treo to help with my birding hobby. I have a spreadsheet that I've created with birds common to this area, with columns to show frequency by month. I have mp3 recordings of bird songs so that when I'm in the field and I hear a song that I think I recognize, I can confirm it with my recording. I also have maps of the places that I go birding the most.
What I would most like to find is a GPS add-on that works as a hand-held unit, that will allow me to use "bread crumbs" and that I can download maps of the wildlife areas I go to. Anyone have any experience with that? It would be so much easier to just carry the treo instead of a treo and a GPS.
Anyone else using their Treo for birding? What apps do you use?
