Does anyone know of any Palm software for keeping track of firearms? Essentially just a logbook.

I'd like to have a single place to keep track of my pistols along with serials numbers and the like. I'd also like to be able to add dates and usage stats to it. In other words, I could keep track of how many rounds have been put through each one. As an example, before I leave the range I could log that I put 100 rounds through my 9mm, 50 rounds through my .38 and 50 through my .32 and that would be automatically added to the running totals. I'd also have a more accurate way to keep track of when maintenance needs to be done, like replacing springs and such as well as a record of what mainenance or modifications have been done to each.

I've found some software that seems to focus on sighting issues with long guns or keeping track of target scores but nothing yet like what I'm looking for.

    Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Though I find the thought of needing a database to keep track of firearams a bit scary for anything smaller than local National Guard post <grin>, I would suggest Handyshopper. Tho it started life as a grocery shopping tool, it has been used for karate training video collections, recipes and 100's of other things. The program is free and has an enormouser user / support group.

Thanks, that is definately heading in the right direction. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have an ammunition or shooting log and they don't make a trial available. The rest of the features look great. Any others?
