Any recommendations on an app for timing things. For example, I have a pot roast in the pressure cooker right now and need to turn it off in 50 minutes. I used BigClock on my old pda but it hasn't been updated in a while and I'd rather find something newer to put on my 650. I don't care about clock functions, just a timer. Something perfect for food on the stove, pizza in the oven, etc. Simple but effective.

Well I just decided to try BigClock just for the heck of it. Can't access the drop-down menu without crashing.

    Definitely need something else.

I use StopWatch 3 for athjletics but i doubt you'd need the 1/100th of a second timing on your PotRoast. I would suggest usiung TreoAlarm. Set up timers 5 - 8 to do normal things like tur phone on and off, get weather, wake you up, etc. Then save page 1 (alarms 1-4) for random things like what you want. If it's 5:30 and you want to take outta oven in 50 minutes, set it for 6:20.

I had to pay for MeTimer, but it works GREAT. It's especially good for meetings & as a game timer, since it has "coming close to end" warnings and can be reset with one button.

Hmmm... A timer! Here I've been using the smoke alarm to tell me when the meatloaf is done.

That actually is how I know when my pizza is done. Seriously. It is just crisp enough when the smoke detector goes off.

I have a few I use for different purposes...

TeaPot that I use for routine times, like watering the plants for 30m, etc..

And 1TouchTimer for spur of the moment "I need a 7 minute timer" situations.

And another one of a different breed, SilentCue which is good for, as the name says, silent cues. It will vibrate every N minutes to remind you of time passing, or whatever.

A tip on what might not be real obvious, but you can't move any of these to the memory card unless you don't exit the program.. If you exit, the timers pause or simply go away. But if you leave them in ram, you can exit and the timers will go off, of course.

Ttrundle, I supported Bob's Alarm earlier in this thread, and the name has since changed to MobileClock, so go with NRG's suggestion. It's really great.
