I was browsing Amazon.com and saw they had an amazing price on the Plantronics M3500 Bluetooth Headset. $89.99 with free shipping!

And it's in stock as of today.

They also have the Plantronics M3000 Bluetooth Headset for $40.49 shipped.

I've been itching to get a bluetooth headset and I think I just might take the plunge now that the prices have come down so low. Anyone out there think the 3500 is worth the difference in price?

Just remember, both Plantronics you talk about are large, bulky headsets. Compared to the Moto 810, 820, 850, and the Treo headset, the PTs are huge on your face! They have to be in order to fit a AAA battery inside them. Just be prepared!

I have the M3000 and love it. It is pretty big but the battery is not AAA it is a small removable rechargeable which means you can replace it. Not many BT head sets can do that. Also the has the auto answer functionality giving you hands free which the 800's above do not have. I have crystal clear sound on both ends using the M3000 but in windy conditions it does not work that well. If you use it in the car and walking around the office like I do, I would save your money and go with the M3000. If you are outside a lot then you might want to go with the M3500

yes love my M3000, got it from eCost for $36.95 shipped. The ear hook is the only downside. I can get it to work fine but it probably will not be comfortable for some. The unit is large like Sci-Pug says but what the hell? Don't you want to show it off?

Agreed the sound is great like Txschafers says. I can drive in the car with the sunroof open and it is fine. For the price the M3k is tough to beat as long as it fits.

I got mine on eCost as well. I have been using it for over a month with not a single problem.

Nice call on eCost. I've never shopped there before. It says for the next 48 hours they have the M3000 for $34 shipped and there is a $5 mail in rebate.

Just noticed I'll have to pay sales tax because I'm in California. That brings it up to about the same as Amazon. I think I'd rather go with Amazon since I've never used eCost before. Or maybe I'll move to another state so I don't have to pay the sales tax.

Personally I hate the m3000, got it from ebay due to low price. It is big and uncomfortable. I hear people very well, but I sound like I am in a wind tunnel to those I'm speaking to. Bought the Palmone headset and it is 1000% better, small, light and can carry on a two way conversation withouy a problem. You get what you pay for.
