I just got a replacement for my original Treo 600 (through Cingular . . . the screen was loose) and need to know what to do to transfer all my settings and programs to the new one. If it can be avoided, I don't want to go through the trouble of doing all that manually.

Is there some program I can use to "backup" the old Treo and just use that backup to setup the new one? What's the best way to do this?

    Thanks in advance.

Please do a search first . But to answer your question, here are a few programs that I found using the threads from below: BackupbuddyVFS, Right Backup, Botzam , BackupMan, Tealbackup...

Most of these programs will allow you to backup onto your SD card, then restore. I would also recommend exporting all your datebook appts., todo lists, contacts and memo into files saved on your desktop PC for archive purposes. Its very easy to import them back into your PalmDesktop. (This has saved me more than once.)

I am sure others can post their experiences as well.

I did a search. I must've used bad search terms or something. Sorry.

    Thanks for the links.
