Often I am typing something in to my Treo in the dark... and the keyboard lighting goes off... and then I can't see the damn keys.

The only work-around that I've found is to hit the "light" button, which turns on the keyboard then turns it and the screen off, then hit the "light" button again to turn it all back on. But then its not long before the key backlighting goes out again.

    Annoying!

Is there any way to tell it to leave the key back light on whenever the screen backlight is on?

Is there any way to get the key backlight to come back on with one press?

    Thanks for any clues.

Interesting. The documentation only mentions Treo650... does it also work on the Treo600?

Not sure actually. Sorry I didn't notice this was for a 600. You can check out mLights too.

Just press Opt-P. This turns on night mode, which dims the screen a bit and keeps the keyboard lights on. No additional software needed.

This has probably been discussed in 50 different threads, BTW.

Oh, sorry... my searches didn't include "night mode"... and they didn't turn up any of those 50 threads.

Thanks for the tip! That'll help tremendously.

Thanks. I had not seen the threads either and have wondered how to do this. I just tried it. Works like a charm.

    Thanks, Thanks.
