    VFSMark Benchmark results:

    128MB: 596
    512MB Ultra: 543

Anyone know why this would be or anything I can do to make it better? I am overclocked to 468MHz using PXAClocker, excluding peripherals. I am using cingular Treo 650 with firmware upgrade.

I hate to think I pretty much wasted the money on the new card since I bought it more for the speed than for the size.

Could it be that this benchmark is flawed?

    Details:

    128MB:

    File Create: 449%
    File Delete: 377%
    File Write: 73%
    File Read: 682%
    File Seek: 842%
    DB Export: 268%
    DB Import: 537%
    Record Access: 1131%
    Resource Access: 1010%

    VFSMark: 596

    512MB:

    File Create: 441%
    File Delete: 183%
    File Write: 47%
    File Read: 748%
    File Seek: 842%
    DB Export: 265%
    DB Import: 545%
    Record Access: 928%
    Resource Access: 893%

    VFSMark: 543

Both cards are virtually identical for content. I used "PFB" to copy the content to my PC and then back to the new 512MB card.

    Thanks for your help.

I've had 2 SanDisk 512MB cards die in my Treo 650. Both were significantly slower than the 128 sent by Palm (Simple) I have a sneaking suspicion that the SanDisk cards just don't play nice with Treo phones. The 2nd card just got here Wednesday after the first 512MB just went poof!! It wouldn't show up when inserted in the phone, a card reader connected to my laptop - nowhere - nada. I don't think I'll bother trying to get another. Just chalk it up to bad karma.
