Does anyone know of a really good Japanese/English dictionary for PalmOS? One that would rival the electronic ones sold in stores here in Japan, so I can just use my Visor instead of buying another handheld?

Also, I've seen (by Canon, I think) something called a WordTank that allows Kanji look-ups with Japanese/English definitions. I'd really like to turn my Visor into a virtual WordTank. Anyone know of some software for this type of higher-end language translation?

Try here. I use KDIC DA(to look up spelling of English words)& it works pretty good. You can install different dictionaries with KDIC to suit your needs. Also Kanji Table in the same page may help you.

PAdict, http://padict.sourceforge.net, is the best program I have seen for Palm. It uses the Monash edict dictionary. It can do both J->E and E->J, though, the authors say it is intended for J->E. It has kanji stroke recognition integrated via PocketKanji and stroke order diagrams from the taka project. It also has a vocabulary trainer.
