Last week, the 1G SD card fell out of my phone somewhere.I had to do the dreaded hard reset after a looping nightmare apparently caused by trying to recover the apps I lost on the sd card. I've now recovered most of the apps and databases, including the phone log, but I can't find the database that holds the addresses/contacts and restore it. I have Agendus, Datebook 5, and Phone Magic installed and no contacts in any. I'm pretty sure the addresses are on my computer, but I haven't beensuccessful at picking the right ones and retrieving my contacts. I bought 2 new 1G cards and plan to have 2 backup cards. It has just been a real pain toget things set up right again.

Does anybody know the name of the files that contain this info? Any help appreciated.

The contacts database should be restored from the desktop PIM when you hotsync. Just set the conduit to "Desktop overwrites handheld".

By default, the contacts DB is not backed up unless you're using a 3rd party backup solution.

That might have happened, but I had a brilliant idea, NOT, to name the previous BU as OldBU, because I wasn't sure I wanted to keep all the apps on the 650. There's no way I could just restore or even use the oldbu since much of the info was on my missing sd card. I think the old addresses are in that folder, but I can't tell which ones there are the right ones, so if anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks.

Maybe you misunderstood me (or I wasn't clear). The contacts will be recreated from the Palm Desktop or Outlook, whichever you sync with. The database itself is NOT backed up (it's dynamic data shared between the handheld and PC).

I am somewhat confused, as I have synced several times, using missing sync and the contacts are not there, or at least don't show up in any of the PIMs. Maybe it's because missing sync doesn't include the Palm desktop?
