Sorry for asking a question that has probably been asked a million times.. did a quick search and couldn't wade through =(

How do I use my Treo as an MP3 player?

    1. I have an SD card with mp3s on it
    2. I have Pocket tunes....
    3. How do I listed to my music (not through the speaker phone)?

I got an adapter to plug reguler headphones into it but...=(

    Thanks!

(PS: I'm surprised there was no question like this in the FAQ)

It should play through your headphones

    sorry.

    ...but it doesn't work.

-With regular headphone (using an adapter) the sound still plays through the speakerphone.

-If I turn to silent mode (suggested by someone) = no sound.

    hehe... woohoo!!!

thanks for the answer... heh. I fiddled with the jack and heard a little clicking.... then looked closer and realized the jack wouldn't go in all the way!

I got the Radio Shack adapter that is recommended on the Pocket-Tunes support site.... but it doesn't fit. BUT, after shaving a bit of plastic off the adapter it fits and works fine!!

my ref for the part is here:

"For our Canadian friends, Radio Shack sells an adapter (Their Canadian part#274-0373) for $6 which provides the same functionality as the Palm adapter (2.5mm to 3.5mm)."

I can confirm the part is readily available at Radio Shack, cost $5.99 + tax (CAD), and doesn't fit...untill you shave off some plastic
