It seems that Sprint is way ahead of Cingular with firmware updates. Has Cingular released any yet?

No... and Sprint hasn't released anything yet either.

The unlocked GSM T650s seem to be having all sorts of problems with their "updated" firmware (1.14 or 1.15, vs. 1.04 for my Cingular model). I'd be very hesitant to load any sort of "update" issued by P1 until I saw some evidence that it fixes more problems than it causes.

I guess it depends on the problems you're having. My locked Cingular T650 is performing pretty well with FW 1.04.

So you haven't been having any earpiece volume issues? I have the same f/w version as you and mine is too quiet.

p.s. I just got my first ever reset when I was checking my f/w version against yours!

Ditto on the low earpiece volume. I can tolerate an occasional crash, but I need to be able to hear my caller!!! FW v.1.04.

With the exception of the low earpiece and speakerphone volume, which I admit, is A BIG exception, my Cingular branded 650 performs remarkably well. Firmware 1.04. A gree with BlkLegGT, crashes I can handle, but having to isolate myself so can hear the person on the other end of the line is frustrating. Unless the firmware updates address the earpiece volume, I'm not likely to upgrade.

I wonder if it's because of my bug ears but I don't have an issue with the volume.
