I just got my Treo and I'm having a hard time with the bluetooth. I have XP SP2 and I can't fnd my bluetooth places anywhere. Is this supposed to be in control panel? Also, I want to setup hotsynching via bluetooth and it says I need to first setup a virtual serial port. Does anyone know how to do this?

    Thanks for your help.

    Best,
    Robert

Do you have a Bluetooth adapter with its associated drivers installed? If so, at a minimum there should be a Bluetooth icon in your Taskbar. Double-click it should open your My Bluetooth Places and offer other configuration and settings options, like the virtual serial port.

The "Places" icon isn't terribly useful, except for file transfers from the Treo. You need the "Advanced Configuration" menu - may appear different depending on who provided your Bluetooth software.

Thanks guys. I do have the icon down in the system tray and that had a tab where I could setup the virtual port. I was confused because it didn't say "bluetooth places" but rather "bluetooth devices."

    Thanks,
    Robert
