I saw some pics on this board that had a hand strap attached to 650. But I can't figure out where to attach one as there is no place to hook it up on my bare Treo.

Can someone post a method or detail pics to help out?

There is no way to attach a hand strap to the 650 directly. Some of the silicone "skin" cases offer this option.

That's what I thought too. But apparently some people were able to attach a strap directly. I can't locate the pics but I did see them several times. May be one of those rubber plugs has some to do with it?

you can loop it through the speaker's grill.

I beg your pardon? Been doing that for more than a year on the 600, now the 650. Pictures coming soon.

Is it strong enough? Looks like you can easily break off the plastic.

    Here's a pic as promised.

I used dental floss around the antenna, very strong stuff and gets in the tightest crevices. Use 3 loops for extra security. Make sure you tie many knots so it won't come undone. I did the same on my 600 and it never frayed.

Hey, that's a great idea. And I like your wooden cradle, too.

Thanks. I don't use a case (less bulk, easy access). I add a longer strap to the lanyard, hung around my neck when I'm skiing or during activities that dropping the treo means "lost treo".

    Thanks Newtreouser.
Yesterday I tried to tie into the speaker grill, but couldn't make the loop and ended up poking a hole inside. So much for that idea!
I will definately try the dental floss.
