I am posting this to let every ready know how much Handango and Mobipocket stink. I am placing this here because I hope I can help others here on this forum avoid countless useless hours trying to unwrap the mysteries of Handango's and Mobipocket's reader PID number.

In order to run the software, you need the reader. The software and the reader apparently need the same PID number. If you ever make a simple mistake, like erase your reader and install a new one you are dead. You have to contact technical support, wait the obligatory 72 hours to try to get an answer, go through this exercise 3 or 4 times, then they manually reset the PID number, you have to redownload it, only to find out it still does not work.

Then handango refers you to the developer, and they never get back.

It has been over one month now and I have been through 4 PID numbers and my collegiate dictionary still does not work.

WARNING: DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM HANDANGO. THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEIR SOFTWARE IS PARANOID WITH AN OVERABUNDANCE OF CODES.
