I have a Treo 600 and am trying to determine what the best email software is for me to get. I have 1 personal email account, 1 sprintpcs mail account, and am about to add a new business account that is not on an exchange server.

I am currently using the default Treo mail and it works okay, but if there is something that would work better and help me manage all my mail and contacts once I add the business acccount, I would like to know.

Please reply with any suggestions and why you suggest it over the others.

Also, I have about 500 personal contacts in my Outlook now that sync with my contact when I Hotsync. Is there a way to keep my personal and business contact separate in Outlook but have them both sync to my Treo?

    Thanks for your help.

I think Sprint's Business Connection is better. When you delete from the Palm, message gets deleted from desktop Outlook on next sync.

asking what's the best email is somewhat like asking what's the best car - everyone has different likes & dislikes, and there are also too many situational specifics for one person's opinion to possibly apply to you.
Aileron might be ok - but there are many others as well. BC might work for you - Chatter might be good, DataViz' Inbox To Go might do it - the list is truly endless....

When I tried it, it asked me for my POP3 and IMAP4 settings, but I'm Exchange Server (those are disabled). Will Aileron still work?

Which is why I asked for people to give the reason for their respective preference.

"Hey, lets ask Steve Jobs to deploy Windows NT servers!"
    Come on, people...
Aileron is superior to everything mentioned thus far...it has replaced Snappermail

I'm happy with Snappermail. It looks like Aileron has an annual fee rather than one-time cost? I haven't tried it--just checked out the website after I read this thread because I hadn't heard of it.

Just my $.02 (everyone's got different prefs): I am very happy with Snappermail Enterprise, which let's me use IMAP. I'd love to have "push" (with Chatter), but my email server does not support it, and if I use an intermediate service (like fastmail or fusemail), I lose the ability to delete mail remtely from my server, which is key for me. Haven't tried Aileron...

Apparently I would need the OWA version, which is still in beta. Any idea when that will be released?

Unless they use actual IP address numbers, you should be able to find that information in your company's domain record.
