I was surprised to discover that my Treo 600 doesn't come with an application to make a quick drawing, for instance to draw a map or directions on the screen.

What is the best freeware application that can do this (and more)?

i'm not a big user of drawing programs, so take this FWIW, but many folks recommend Diddlebug

MoePaint is great on the 600 - the lines are smoother. On other apps they get jagged. But I do not have an URL for you. It was a japanese page, AFAIKAFAIKAFAIK.
Try Opera for free and vote to get Opera on your Treo http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/OperaPalmOS

Just curious...what do you use the program for (like for what application?) other than the obvious, to just doodle?

Actually just for drawing a quick map.

Here in Malaysia many houses don't have a proper address. In that case a little map is the best way to find your way there.
