I take it you're not a Mac user. Those buttons are in the upper left corner of every window in OSX. Red closes out the window. Yellow shrinks it, and green will min/max the window.
But FYI, they do nothing functionally on the Treo.

The unregistered version stops working after two weeks, apart from that it is fully functional. Fixing the website now ;-)

Great program Daniel. When will you have the custom welcome/goodbye screens? I have the unlocked GSM 650 and those screens are sooooo boring.
    Treo 750 and iPhone.

That's true, just gives it the look of an OSX program.

As soon as I get Oliver (he's the guy who makes all our skins) to give me the Treo 650, I will start looking into this feature. I tried to take it away from him on Friday, but encountered a lot of resistance ;-)

There's a thread on here about splash screens, that may be helpful in developing an addon for your software.

We have an internal beta version done. I think I will upload a beta in a couple of hours, if anyone is interested.

I made some skins if you all want to check them out on the Skinner download page. They are metal plates, water and wooden. I redid them so the favorites button is darker when highlighted. So If you notice it being to light check back with them later and they should have the updated ones available.

Im on my work computer so im not sure if these pdb.s are in the right format.

In anticipation of the upcoming OS X Tiger release, I made a few Tiger-inspired skins. Enjoy!

Those are good lookin, tell me toxify is there an easy way to make the skins that way? I made one where I cut up a picture in photo shop in 13 sections, 12 of which were 102 x 46 and then pasted them on the numbered buttons. Is that the only way?

I love the creativity of everyone putting together skins. I've looked at the explanations on how to do-it-yourself, but I feel like I'm reading a foreign language. Is there anyone out there willing to put together a skin for Indiana University grads?

We plan to have a feature in Skinner Desktop soon, which automates this (load skin, load background image and the background image will be split up in 12 parts and used as backgrounds for the buttons).

It took a bit longer because another project we have been working on had got priority over this feature, but support for splash screens in Skinner is done now.

Whoever is interested can download the beta version of Skinner supporting splash screens (welcome/goodbye screen) at http://skinner.79bmedia.com/skinner31rc1.zip

You can create your own splash files online at http://skinner.79bmedia.com/skinner650/splashes.php

This version has been tested and is expected to work without problems, yet as with any beta version you are advised to have a complete backup available at any time while using it.

By the way, the above download now also includes a new beta of the Skinner Desktop, so Windows users can create the splash images locally. Users of other operating systems can still use the online splash generator.
