    Yes. I leave data in internal memory and only moved the app to my SD via zLauncher. This allows perfect syncing with my Mac OS X SplashPhoto client as hot sync can find the SplashPhoto db in internal memory. All photos reside on the SD card and will sync directly to there if specified. I do not keep photos in internal memory. However, if you use the photo function with your contacts, then you'll have to pshysically move the photos from the SplashPhoto folder in /PALM/Programs/SplashPhoto to /DCIM.

    All Splash products that syncs with a desktop client must have the data in internal memory. Photos can go anywhere... its the splash dbs that must be in internal memory.

    How's MMPlayer installed on the SD?

    Tried it a couple times and got lib errors.

    MMPlayer works great on my SD with app and data managed by zLauncher. Files in the /PALM/programs/ZLauncher/Apps/MMPlayer/ are:

    Cobalt.xml.pdb (skin)
    instrum.data.pdb
    key.txt.pdb
    MMPlayer Library.prc
    MMPlayer.prc
    MMPlaylist.pdb

    NRG - Pretty extensive list - glad to hear no resets. Not so lucky on my end - can you list the programs you did not re-install; potentially help us narrow down the culprits? How much ram do you have left? Did I miss it, or are you not running a launcher, other than power run?

    I finally gave up on Mega Launcher 11 (even though I think it's the best) and have bought zLauncher, but begining to suspect it's the launchers that are causing our problems.

    I'm running a number of the same programs, but others as well. I still believe it is interactions between programs (e.g. Butler and zlauncer and (fill-in the blank)); but have not been able to place my finger on it yet. Running 8-10mb open with time sync off and no rom updates (except Sprint Roaming update). Mostly sync crashes, but still getting a few spont. resets. Thanks, Kevin.

    They do, sort of...it's in the help section for POP mail setup. I can save you some time, though, as here's the setup that works for me in VersaMail:

    Account Name: Gmail (or whatever you want to call it)
    Mail Service: Other
    Protocol: POP
    <next>
    Username: yourusername@gmail.com
    Password: yourgmailpassword

    Email Address: yourusername@gmail.com
    Incoming Mail Server: pop.gmail.com
    Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.gmail.com
    <next>

    Incoming Server Settings:
    Port Number: 995
    Use Secure Connection (SSL): checked
    <next>
    Outgoing Server Settings:
    Port Number: 587
    Use Secure Connection (SSL): checked
    Use authentication (ESMTP): checked
    Username: yourusername@gmail.com
    <done>

    That's it! Make sure you use the @gmail.com when entering your username!

    Couple questions/comments:

    1. Have you tried zlauncher, and if so, how does it compare to LauncherX?

    2. It seems like FileZ and PowerRun are both allowing you to move applications to the SD card...are they doing the same thing, or am I missing something in the descriptions? Why do you need both?

    3. When I try to move TreoAlarm to the SD card (using PowerRun), it warns me that I will lose the ability to use alarms if I move it to the card...Since that's all TreoAlarm really does, how can it be run from the card? (Or, is the warning incorrect, and it works fine from the card?)

    4. I've tried to run KsDatebook after installing from their website...As soon as I try to launch, I get a reboot. Every time. What version are you running, and where did you get it?

    Thanks.

    1) Yeah I tried them all... and I LOVE LauncherX but do yourself a favor and don't JUST listen to people here - try the free trials out and find the one that works for YOU

    2) Actually FileZ doesn't allow you to move files to the card (and gosh I hope I'm not wrong..) as it's "just" one of the best - and free - file viewers out there. PowerRun, LauncherX, Zlauncher, etc all allow you to move files to the card - it comes down to how committed you are to use either program as should you change..you will have to go through a little bit of work to pull them down to memory and reload them to the card with your 'new' tool.

    3) Actually I don't know..that was a typo in my list..I have TreoAlarm in the internal memory...

    4) I'm using KsDatebook v1.6.1 from July, 2004. Do you have the same?

    Go to Palm's Preferences tool and you will see Switch5 there - ready for you to set up
