I've found it difficult to set up my own shoutcast stream, but have had luck with gloonet. The thing gloonet is missing is the ability to controll your playlist via pTunes. I find myself flipping between the Blazer interface, then to pTunes, then back to gloonet thru Blazer. It's tedious, but it's the only way I've been able to stream my entire mp3 library to myself.

I'd love to figure the Shoutcast thing out & learn to re-stream stream content to myself (ex: I subscribe to MLB.com to listen to my Chicago Cubs, but I'm not sitting down in front of my PC enough to really use it as much as I' d like). I've tried to get it set up on two different occasions, spending an hour or two each time, only to be dissapointed & frustrated. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Are using Winamp as your source

Tell me the Symptom and I will try and solve the problem, or give you direction

Anyone Else has there own Radio Station ,

Any progress on MLB.COM stream? I too am a Cubs fan and have MLB Gameday Audio. I would love to pay Sprint/MobiTV to listen to games, but until they get their act together with a palm stream, I am looking to stream to my Treo 650 in any way possible.

Why not buy an XM MyFi and sign up for XM. Not sure how much you pay now, but $12.99 a month and you get 100+ channels and evey MLB game. MyFi is portable and allows you to record and playback

When I go to your site and click "tune in" it asks if I want to put the program on SD and that my device does not support that file type. Is that because I only have RealPlayer?
Go here if you're tired of being .
    It'll be fun.

I got the Treo so I wouldn't have to lug around a phone and PDA. Just trying to find out a way to add more function to the Treo and not add another gadget to my long list of burdens. The mlb.com was $15/year so $13/month plus $250 for the MYFi is a bit of a hurdle as well (despite the appeal of XM).

ClarenceCM3 I am going to give your radio station idea a shot. If I can't follow your detailed instructions, I am a certified *****. Nice website...

Is PocketTunes the only app which streams audio on the Treo? If not, any favorites?
For those of you who stream music on the Treo, do you have frequent buffering issues?

Personally, I cannont stream music for much longer than a couple minutes before PocketTunes goes "out to lunch" with buffering issues.

    Thanks!

You can use Realplayer or Mplayer.

    Both of them suck.

    Clarence:

Do you know how I can "rebroadcast" live programming through shoutcast onto my Treo?

I only have buffering issues if my signal is weak or, sometimes, if I'm listening to 128-bit streams. With three strength bars I can listen to almost anything without buffering problems amd only random buffering with 128.

Ofcourse. I re-stream NPR all the time.

All you have to do is Play to the stream, It will re-stream by it's self.

YOU can also reduce the bit to make it easier for the treo to stream it.

I would not recommend 128k. The best for voice only is 16k. Music Maybe 32k to 64k. Anything higher then that you will experince high buffering "no Music".
