I've been wanting a simple way to prop up my Treo to a comfortable viewing angle while seated at a desk.

When I Googled "Treo stand" and saw Rick Pavek's page on PalmAddict.com, I knew I had to try this!

I rushed to OfficeMax after work and bought the exact same stand. $1.99, how can you lose?

As Rick did, I gently bent the stand to a better viewing angle, and also squeezed and twisted the center part of the stand to make a snugger fit with the clip of my Krusell Classic form fit case. (Rick uses the male part of his holster case to attach to the stand, so this seems to work well with different cases!)

It is not the most secure way of displaying a Treo (I can imagine the whole setup to go flying if the charger or sync cord snags on a chair, for example), but if you're careful not to do that, this setup works pretty well! And the black finish on the stand is pretty stylish, too.

    Benefits:
    Cheap and easy to setup
Can sync/charge and display on desk without taking Treo out of case
Better viewing angle and height than just laying Treo flat on desk
Black finish of clip not too bad looking, complements look of Treo

    Great ,

I see you have a miniclip on your Krussel case.
I hate the standard clip, however today i discovered that if you swivel your clip to a horizontal position . You can rest your treo at 45 degrees and at least i do not need a stand to keep Treo on my desk.
The accessories are priced outrageously . I mean everything starts with 29.99 at least.
Darn it . Inventing these cheaper tricks is the best way to bring them down....

Excellente!!! I'm glad you were thoughful enough to provide the SKU info on the item! The PalmAddict site didn't provide nearly as much info as your assessment! Thanks for sharing!

Hi Mtreo, yes, I have the mini clip, although in hindsight, I think I should have gotten the Big Clip for a more secure fit.

I agree about the high prices, I can't see buying the cradle for $60! I will wait until Dan sells it on eBay. Until then, I'll just use my little stand.

    "Cheap trick," love it!

    You are most welcome, vinman!

The stand isn't too hard to find at OfficeMax, just head to the desktop accessories aisle. I might just pick up another one so I have one for home and work!
