Hi -- currently have 128mb. Looking for the maximum allowable
that it will support and a supplier.

    Thanks ahead,

    Stuart

P.S. Need to move a bunch of favorite songs to it once and for all!

The Treo 600 should support any SD card you get your hands on, however, the 1GB card will work. I don't think that the 2GB card is out yet.

    I've used a 1GB card without a hitch.

Agree - you are only limited by the physical proportions of the card.
I am using a 1gig card for some months now.
    Waiting patiently for a 2gig...

I thought the 2 G SD was out....it was on some websites. When I order it; they say "backordered". What is the deal?

Thanks for all the replies. I'll await the 2gb card.

Since PalmOS Garnet 5.4 currently only support FAT 16 format on external media, the default highest capacity card supported is 2 GB...

I too understand the 2 gb card is 'out'.
I think though its the manufacturers creating hype and desire, by crowing about it, telling everyone its on 'backorder' (the industry trying to tell us its so poular that they cannot feed demand...) to make us eager...

    Patience is the motto here..

And lets not forget what a 2GB card will cost initially.

AlanG has wise words. Wait another year for a good price and supply
and reliability. I'm willing to stay with this 128GB until then. I just
have to keep changing songs more than I'd like.

I had a chance to see a Blackberry 75xx up close today. It is NOTHING
on a Treo 600. The screen was barely visible, even with backlite on.
    It was embarassing!

Love my Treo 600. The only thing that would make me abandon it is
    a 3G/EVDO-speed Treo 650 from *any* provider.

The only thing that would make me abandon my t600 is the next treo that will have native bluetooth, a 65k color screen, 1.3 megapixels camera, palm OS 6, removable battery, wifi (although not necessary), huge memory (relatively speaking), stereo speakers, strong vibrate, no external antenna, all other bells and whistles. Hopefully, the t700 is IT!

The Bluetooh, hi-res screen, and removable battery are features already in the Treo 650, so palmOne is almost there. The 1.3MP camera was left out of the Treo 650 design becuase it would cost too much to include. I've been thinking about Palm OS Cobalt (Palm OS 6) alot lately, and the more I think about it, the less I see it as a requirement. Yes, Cobalt's GUI is sexy, but there isn't any thing in Palm OS 5 that keeps me from getting my work done.
