    Hi,

I'm looking for a better To Do list, specifically one that allows for "subtasks" that you can check off and assign dates to. For example:

    __ Create Web Site
        __ Design Mockups
        __ Build HTML
        __ Bill client

I've been looking around a lot, but haven't found anything. Anyone had any ideas?

    Thanks,
    -ceej

Have you searched at palmgear.com? They have a bunch, although none get really great reviews. Arranger seems to be the best and is the only one that I tried.

Look at ListMaker by Synergy Solutions http://www.synsolutions.com/
I have their PDActivate group of 5 applications that includes ListMaker. I haven't used it yet, but it looks like it has what you want.

You also might be able to use Handy Shopper, a free database program with rave reviews. http://www.palmgear.com/software/sho...00&prodID=5314

To narrow your search on PalmGear, try searching on "outline" as that is more like what you are looking for.

The following URL summarizes my notes on outliners - http://discussion.visorcentral.com/F...ML/000502.html

If you want even more, you might want to look at project management software - http://discussion.visorcentral.com/F...ML/000942.html

If you want a simple checklist with priorities, attached notes and import/export capability then you might try checklist lite. It is free but not open source.

I've been using Arranger for months now. They have a beta V1.20b12 posted on their web site. It's pretty stable. I haven't had any problems with it. The link below will take you to their home page.

Arranger's strong suit is the ability to link to all of the built in apps. I like the beta version because it has categories. Give it a shot.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! I tried a few, and I'm going with ListMaker, in case you're curious.

    Thanks again!

After you've used ListMaker let us know what you think about it.

I'm a bit late on this thread, but BrainForest is kinda cool and can function like you want with sub-tasks (as well as do percentage-complete in project mode).

I've tried arranger and I like Thought Mill better. Lot easier to use.
