It is a comprehensive guide to movies on your 650...
If you have quicktime pro you are good to go...
    Download the pdf and read...

i am using osx. I followed the instructions step by step.
When I click on the file on my mac after I converted, it still has sound.
Buy when I slot it in my treo, it doesn't play sound.
I check my treo to make sure the volumes are up...but still no sound.
    Strange!

Are you using a CDMA or a GSM phone? The capabilities of the media player are slightly different between them.

For the GSM Treo 650, you'll want the file format to be 3GPP, not 3GPP2. Video settings are the same, but audio needs to be AMR-NB (Speech). I've left the audio data rate at 12.200 kbps, mono, 5 frames per sample.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but how are you guys getting the movie files etc to convert? I use mac the ripper to rip dvd movies to my hard drive, (as backups of course), but quicktime doesn't recognize these. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Use D-Vision 2 (or 3) to encode the movies to XVID or DIVX. Then, you can watch it with a player like MMplayer.

Search the forums, there's plenty of information out there.
