I am patiently awaiting my UNLOCKED Treo 650 and I have no idea what software I should get. I want to play movies, mp3s, and of course any suggestions on must have softwares as well! Noob on board and happily joining the Treo Family!

I'm aslo new to the Treo but I've found that Pocket Tunes Deluxe (MP3s), Mring (Custom ringtones), and Docs to Go (Word and Excel), are very useful

Do a Focken search. I say this in jest, but really there are lots of info out there.

As for the movie playing, I suggest mmplayer for the viewer and pocketdvd to rip dvds to a treo compatible format.

    Good luck.

    My picks are:

Smart Movie (alternative for MMPlayer for watching movies)
Splash Suite (Money, Shopper, ID, Photo)
Express (Great for having news, movie listings/reviews, maps/directions in one app.)
    Yahtzee
    Scrabble
Pocket Tunes (great for streaming ShoutCast)
    Audible
    eReader
    Palmary clock

Have you had any issues with Butler on the T650? I heard it was making some T650s flaky.

I think you can rip with DVDDecrypter and then use Kinoma producer
    http://www.kinoma.com/products.html?producer
then play with Kinoma player on your treo. Would prob need a big SD card to store the file. Never done this b/c I have never seen the need to have 'one' movie on my palm.

That list seems like everything I need, has any of the softwares given you any problems?
