Does anyone have a really good way to syncronize text documents between a Treo 650 and a pc?

For example: I type a lot of notes into text documents on the pc. I use a program called NoteTab which is simply a Notepad replacement with tabbed viewing so I can have access to many notes very easily.

I know that Docs-To-Go is the main method people use to sync Word documents but I don't use Word for these very simple text documents.

    Any Ideas?

Ps. I know I could just move all of the text in these docs to MemoPad but that isn't really an option for me.

What about copying the text documents directly to a SD card using a card reader?

So how does that syncronize only the changed portions of edited documents on either the Treo or the PC so that they are always mirror copies of each no matter what platform I chose to make changes or additions on?

An alternative to DTG for syncing documents is freeware called 3D Sync:

    http://palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseac...=1&prodID=2981

    Also, here's the direct site:

    http://www.3ddata.com/3dsync/default.asp

3D Sync the PC-to-PC FileSync program now supports PalmPilot. With 3D Sync you can: *Automatically transfer new or updated documents to your PalmPilot as Pilot-DOC files *Automatically convert any document format that Microsoft Word can read. You need Word'97 for this The process is completely automatic. Once you have selected the files you want your Pilot to receive, your Pilot will always have the latest documents. 3D Sync is available as Freeware or commercial version. All Pilot-related features are in the freeware version. Details and download at: www.3ddata.com/3dsync.htm
Seems like this will do what you need perhaps. Also, I would strenuously recommend using SEid as the document reader on your Treo:

    http://benroe.com/sied/

Awesome piece of freeware that supports txt file types...

Sorry, didn't realize you wanted a true sync solution.

According to Palmgear, this hasn't been updated since 1999. Are you sure it works on the 650?

You can access the SD card as a USB disk using Card Export and then you can sync using Backer, which is at http://www.cordes-dev.com/

This is what I do. I have all my active files synced to my SD card and to my PC at home and at work. If I wanted to I could edit the text files on the SD card using SIED.
