You know this is sad. Palm hasn't done anything with these phones to fix them. I am going in today to get my 4th new 650 because these all suck.

I might be looking to buy one of these ...

so...what's up with the treo 650 that you need to have it exchanged 4 times?

Looks like P1 standard performance...in failure, that is.

For the Treo 600, it was upwards of 40-50%.

Now, for the 650, it's 20-30%, or higher.

We have about 80 650's in my org now...about 25 have been replaced for one reason or another. So 25% puke rate.

What tends to be more of a hassle is the number of resets with the 650, which is just crazy (several times a day). Everyone here who has one tends to like them, but the common refrain is "this thing crashes more than my old Win95 PC"

That thing is pretty big -- We've heard the Ben q a number of times as an alternative (thought I personaly don't adhere to that) but how about the Samsung i730? I'm not about to give up the 650, but I must admit this raised an eyebrow.

That's actually more like a 30% failure rate...damn, that sucks. I hope my unlocked one is free of defects.
