if you used a bt headset, can you listen to mp3 through it?

probably a battery killer, but wondering if at all possible.

Nope, sorry. BT v1.2 (specifically the A2DP profile) is needed I believe and the 650 is only BT v1.1.

    yeah. it is only 1.1.

would you (or anyone) know if this is hardware or software. ie, any posibility that it can be upgraded?

It is purely a software problem. the chipset itself supports 1.2 but p1 released it with1.1 because od time constraints. Palm will not be updating the bt in the 650. the only way I know it would be possible is if palm released something with the same chipset with 1.2 so someone like shadowmite could hack it to work. short answer: its not possible right now

You could use a jabra A210 bluetooth adapter and plug it in to the 2.5mm jack. Presto, MP3s over your bluetooth headset. As a bonus, you can also use your bluetooth headset with you cordless home phone (provided it has a 2.5mm headset jack)
