I just received the clip type clip holster which works fine except for one major problem. There is no way to remove it without the SD card getting pressed and ejected.

Funny, I was actually trying to take pictures of this problem when you posted.

If you card sticks out *at all* it will be ejected. (I know, there is a thread to "safely" file down your SD card, but I'm still a bit nervous....)

Funny, I re-check the seidoonline entry for this clip style holster case and they changed their animation (recently) to show the entry of the Treo into the holster beginning with the top and then snapping in the bottom half.

This method doesn't eject your card, but it does impinge on several keys on every entry and looks like it will damage them.

Hmpf. Anyone use the "Cradle type" holster yet with any success?

And the pictures didn't show much else....I can try again if people are really interested.

I actually have both the Seidio CLIP and CRADLE style holsters. Initially, I though I would prefer the Clip type (since I had been using a ProClip holster with my T600)...however, I've come to really like the Cradle holster for the following reasons:
    - Cradle design "seems" more secure
    - Much easier to remove And insert phone into holster

Now that I am using the Seidio style audio adapter, I don't have a problem removing the phone from the Cradle holster with the audio adapter inserted.

    Just my 2 cents...MS

    Mszatny,

Does your new cradle type holster scratch the top of your phone. I have the cradle type now and David Chang has been nice enough to exchange it for the new clip type. This is the first I am hearing of these issues with the clip type, so now I am wondering if I made the right choice.

    Thanks,

    Lenny

    Lenny,

David Chang was kind enough to exchange my original cradle holster with an updated version. The updated cradel holster has a MUCH smoother clip and requires much less effor to insert....thus less scratching.

Yes, Chang is exchanging my clip as well. I had the first clip holster and it was horrible. I didn't have a problem with it ejecting the sd card, but much worse. As soon as I sat down, the phone would stab me in the rib cage. The phone sat way too high or the clip was way too low. He sent me a new one and I should have it today. The other problem was that the clip was not tight on the belt.
Why o Why can't someone make a holster like the proclip for the T-600..
I also order a new holster from Proclip for the 650. I should have that one Friday.. I don't know even what it looks like since they didn't have a pic on the site yet. They do have it available if you call them.. I think its part #229011...
I'll post my comments after I receive both holsters...

    Mszatny,

I thought my cradle holster was one of the updated versions. It has the cut out to prevent accidental key presses when taking the phone out of the holster. By much smother clip, do you mean the edges are smoother or does the plastic bend easier?

    Thanks,

    Lenny

I believe only the clip edges are smoother allowing for much easer re-holstering

I just sent an e-mail to them about this exact problem. My clip came in today and does the same thing.

While I will say the the gang at Seidio have been very nice, the clip holster scratched the top of my Treo in one week, they sent me another but I am afraid I will have to return both as I really don't like the way I have to be so careful in pulling it out, makes me nervous when I get an incoming call, plus it is not friendly to the plug on your headset either, I have had it pop out numerous times while on a call...oh well I will keep searching for a better way....

I got my replacement Seidio from David Chang, and today I got my Proclip holster for the 650.

NO comparison. The proclip is perfect... It's just like the old one for the T600...
I'm soooo happy after buying 5 of these stupid holsters I got the right one....

The Seidio replacement was definetly an improvement over the first... but it still had some issues.
It was very tight and tough to get the phone out with one hand.
PHone would not come out top first because it ejected the sd card, so you had to take it out bottom first which was tough.
Also, and I left it on all day yesterday, about half of my calls got answered automatically somehow. I guess the padding would hit the screen when I was taking the phone out and it was already on and people were talking.. Very annoying. You and I both know sometimes you want to look at the screen and not answer lol. Maybe it is just my retarded self, but I'm pretty sure that I know how to take out the phone from the holster.. I mean I'm no comp. geniuss but the phone should come in and out easily with one hand, and it certainly should not answer for you !

Bottom line is, spend the 24.95 and get the proclip... It's perfect.

    HI,

We have received some complaints regarding to SD card Ejection problem when they use our Clip type holster for Treo 650. Although most of users do not experience this problem. Seidio wants to address this issue immediately. We are working on the updated version. The updated version is expected to be released by next week.

    Sorry for the inconvenience,

The older version of the holster is much easier to insert and remove the 650 for me. The newer version is too tight. I am actually using the older version and TreoGuard.

    Hi DVD Guy,

Are you talking about cradle type or clip type ?

I have the seidio design holster for the 600/650 and I can't seem to take it out of the holster without it answering if there is an incoming call. This is extremely frustrating because I like to see who is calling before I answer the call. Does anyone have a solution or do I need to return and get a Proclip.
