I've noticed over the last day or two that the LED is turning orange and stays that way and I can't figure out why. I had Butler installed but I didn't really have a use for it and uninstalled it. I don't think that's doing it because I never set the LED to go orange for anything anyway. Anyway, it'll turn orange and the only way to fix it that I've found is a soft reset. It won't turn red when charging or anything, it'll just stay like that. Does anyone have an idea what this could be?

This has been posted before and no real answer was given back then either. Sorry.

This is one of the many reasons I use LEDOff v02.1

    Get it at: http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/ledoff.shtml

Thanks for the link. I installed LEDOff but it's not helping. I discovered VeriChat is causing this. When I get an IM in standby mode it turns the LED orange. There's no option to stop this and even with LEDOff set to not allow any LED activity it still goes orange and won't stop until I soft reset my Treo. I'm using VeriChat 2.23b.

Hmnn... I don't have that problem with that version.

Which specific services are you running out of Verichat? I use yaho aim icq but NOT MSN. Maybe this has something to do with it?

To avoid a soft reset will LedOFF reset your light (maybe with an all-off)?

I have been having the exact same problem. I was gonna start a new thread but I'm glad I did a search first.

I also use Verichat with Yahoo & MSN. I'm betting it is an MSN issue.

It's not an MSN issue. I only had VeriChat configured for AIM when it was happening to me. For anyone who still has this, what verison of VeriChat are you using? When I upgraded to the latest beta 2.58b it went away.

That's what I was using too. Getting the new version should fix it.
