I have my visor for 2 weeks now and I want to know what are the most useful programs for the visor. I don't have a stock portfolio so I really don't need any finacial or expense software, but everything else seems interesting. Thanks.

The Visor is a Palm OS based unit. So, almost any Palm software (other than software specifically made for the Palm VII, wireless internet device) will work on your Visor. There are a few exceptions, but it's rare to encounter them.

The Handspring web site (www.handspring.com) has a software links area that will point you to a variety of shareware/software sites where you can download sofware to your heart's content. Many pieces are free, or request a small fee if you like the software.

    Have fun!

Thanks, I've been to many visor websites already and there isn't one site that really sticks out. I try to make a comparison between the visor and ti-89 which is another thing I'm in to. And with the ti-89 there's just one website where everyone can go to, to get all there programming needs. I'm also interested in programming the visor. But I have no idea where to start.

Try Wade's Palm Programming FAQ http://www.wademan.com/Pilot/Program/FAQ.htm

If you have never programmed before, you can get great results quickly with the PDA Toolbox. http://www.pdatoolbox.com/

I'm using Quartus Forth to program with. http://www.quartus.net/products/forth/

An answer to your first question:

I recommend AvantGo (http://www.avantgo.com) to everyone. I use the info I download daily...
